Barcelona: neighbourhood and walking time
Barcelona fails as a stay when it is only a skyline and a church queue. We write the neighbourhood first: sand-coloured Eixample, a walk to the water, or a quieter side street.
Families need days that do not start with a sold-out interior. A façade and a long lunch are sometimes the better morning. Couples may want the Gothic streets at night and a room they can return to.
A beach day is a train or a walk, not an assumed inclusion. We write the transfer if it is part of the stay.
Ask with who is coming and which week. We answer in writing.
